Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAcute diarrhoea:\u003cbr\u003eAdults and adolescents over 12 years of age:\u003cbr\u003eThe recommended initial dose is 4 mg loperamide hydrochloride (2 Loperamid Terapia capsules) taken orally, followed by 2 mg loperamide hydrochloride (one Loperamid Terapia capsule) after each loose stool.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChronic diarrhoea:\u003cbr\u003eAdults and adolescents over 12 years of age:\u003cbr\u003eThe recommended initial dose is 4 mg loperamide hydrochloride per day (2 Loperamid Terapia capsules) for adults and 2 mg loperamide hydrochloride per day (1 Loperamid Terapia capsule) for adolescents. This initial dose should be adjusted until 1-2 solid stools per day are achieved. This is usually achieved with a maintenance dose of 1-6 capsules (2 mg-12 mg loperamide hydrochloride) per day.\u003cbr\u003eThe maximum dose for acute and chronic diarrhea is 8 capsules (16 mg) per day for adults, in adolescents it should be related to body weight (3 capsules\/20 kg), but should not exceed a maximum of 8 capsules per day.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eElderly:\u003cbr\u003eNo dose adjustment is necessary in the elderly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChildren under 12 years of age:\u003cbr\u003eIn children under 12 years of age, pharmaceutical forms and strengths appropriate to age are recommended.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf the stools become normal or if a stool has not been eliminated for 12 hours, stop taking Loperamid Terapia.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you have any further questions on this medicine, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eComposition:\u003cbr\u003e- The active substance is loperamide hydrochloride.
