Furthermore, iodine is concentrated in breast milk compared to the concentration in serum.\u003cbr\u003eThe use of povidone iodine may induce transient hypothyroidism (reduced thyroid gland activity) in the fetus or newborn. It may be necessary to monitor the child's thyroid gland function. Possible oral ingestion of the solution by the infant must be avoided.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFertility:\u003cbr\u003eSpermicides or intravaginal medications (antifungals, antitrichomoniasis, antibacterial antiseptics, antiherpetic agents, or local estrogen preparations): any intravaginal treatment with local action may inactivate local contraceptives.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDriving and using machines:\u003cbr\u003eBetadine does not influence the ability to drive or use machines.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAdministration:\u003cbr\u003eOne ovule per day, for 7-14 days, in infectious pathologies. The ovule is inserted deeply into the vagina, at bedtime. After the doctor's assessment and depending on the type of infection, 2 tablets per day can be administered for a longer period.
