Each film-coated tablet contains 200 mg ibuprofen and 12.8 mg code .ine phosphate hemihydrate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMethod of administration:\u003cbr\u003eAdults and adolescents over 12 years:\u003cbr\u003eUse 1 - 2 Nurofen Plus film-coated tablets as needed, then, if necessary, use 1 - 2 Nurofen Plus film-coated tablets at intervals of 4 - 6 hours. The film-coated tablets should be swallowed whole with water.\u003cbr\u003eThis medicine should not be taken for more than 3 days. If the pain does not improve after 3 days, contact your doctor for advice.\u003cbr\u003eA minimum of four hours should be allowed between doses and the dose should not exceed 6 Nurofen Plus film-coated tablets in 24 hours. The maximum recommended daily dose should not be exceeded.\u003cbr\u003eNurofen Plus should not be given to children under 12 years of age, due to the risk of severe breathing problems.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eContraindications:\u003cbr\u003eDo not use Nurofen Plus:\u003cbr\u003e- if you have had an allergic reaction to ibuprofen, code .ine, or any of the excipients of the product;\u003cbr\u003e- if you have experienced hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. asthma, allergic rash, itching, runny nose, swelling of the lips, face, tongue or throat) when taking ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid or similar medicines;\u003cbr\u003e- if you have an ulcer or bleeding in the stomach or small intestine (duodenum) or if you have had two or more such episodes in the past;\u003cbr\u003e- if you have had an ulcer, bleeding or perforation in the stomach or small intestine (duodenum) related to previous use of medicines for pain and inflammation (NSAIDs);\u003cbr\u003e- if you have severe heart, kidney or liver failure;\u003cbr\u003e- if you are in the last trimester of pregnancy;\u003cbr\u003e- if you have difficulty breathing;\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePrecautions:\u003cbr\u003eBefore using Nurofen Plus, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:\u003cbr\u003eTalk to your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.\u003cbr\u003eNurofen Plus should not be taken in the last 3 months of pregnancy, as it can cause major heart, lung and kidney problems in the baby. If used at the end of pregnancy, it can cause bleeding in both mother and baby and reduce the strength of uterine contractions, delaying the onset of labour.\u003cbr\u003eTreatment during the first 6 months of pregnancy will only be recommended by your doctor if absolutely necessary. Ibuprofen may make it more difficult to get pregnant. You should tell your doctor if you are planning to get pregnant or if you have problems getting pregnant.\u003cbr\u003eDo not take codeine while breast-feeding.
