Ask your doctor for advice.\u003cbr\u003eDefumoxan is contraindicated during pregnancy and breast-feeding.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDriving and using machines:\u003cbr\u003eDefumoxan has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMethod of administration:\u003cbr\u003eAlways take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDosage One pack of Defumoxan (100 tablets) is sufficient for a complete course of treatment. The duration of treatment is 25 days.\u003cbr\u003eDefumoxan should be taken according to the following schedule:\u003cbr\u003eTreatment days\u003cbr\u003eRecommended dose\u003cbr\u003eMaximum daily dose\u003cbr\u003e- Days 1 to 3\u003cbr\u003e1 tablet every 2 hours 6 tablets\u003cbr\u003e- Days 4 to 12\u003cbr\u003e1 tablet every 2.5 hours 5 tablets\u003cbr\u003e- Days 13 to 16\u003cbr\u003e1 tablet every 3 hours 4 tablets\u003cbr\u003e- Days 17 to 20\u003cbr\u003e1 tablet every 5 hours 3 tablets\u003cbr\u003e- Days 21 to 25\u003cbr\u003e1 - 2 tablets per day Up to 2 tablets\u003cbr\u003eSmoking should be stopped at the latest on day 5 of treatment. Smoking should not be continued during treatment, as this could aggravate adverse reactions (see section 4.4).
