Indications:

Parasinus Cold and Flu contains two active substances, ibuprofen and pseudoephedrine.

• Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called “non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs” (NSAIDs). They help relieve pain and lower high temperature (fever).

• Pseudoephedrine belongs to a group of medicines called “vasoconstrictors”. They help to unblock the nasal passages and relieve nasal congestion.

What Parasinus Cold and Flu is used for

Parasinus Cold and Flu is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over for the symptomatic treatment of the common cold and flu, including headache, high temperature (fever), sore throat, aches, nasal obstruction.

Use this medicine only if you have nasal obstruction and the symptoms listed above, such as headache and high temperature. Do not use the medicine if you have only one of the symptoms listed above.

Contraindications:
Do not take Parasinus Cold and Flu if:
• you are allergic to ibuprofen or pseudoephedrine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before taking Parasinus Cold and Flu, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:

• Do not take Parasinus Cold and Flu if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

• If taken in the last 3 months of pregnancy, the ibuprofen in this medicine may cause kidney and heart problems in the fetus. It may affect the bleeding tendency for you and your baby and may cause labor to occur later or last longer than expected. From the 20th week of pregnancy, Parasinus Cold & Flu may cause kidney problems in the fetus if taken for more than a few days, which may lead to low levels of amniotic fluid surrounding the fetus (oligoamnios) or narrowing of a blood vessel (ductus arteriosus) in the heart of the fetus.

• If you think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Fertility:

Ibuprofen may affect a woman's ability to become pregnant. This effect is reversible after stopping ibuprofen.

It is unlikely that ibuprofen, used occasionally, will affect your chances of becoming pregnant. Ask your doctor before taking this medicine if you have had difficulty getting pregnant in the past.

Driving and using machines:

After taking Parasinus Cold and Flu you may feel dizzy, have unusual headaches or problems with your vision or hearing, including seeing or hearing things that are not there (hallucinations). If this happens, do not drive, ride a bike or use tools or machines.

How to take:

Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults and children over 12 years of age:

How much to take

• The recommended dose is 1 capsule every 4 to 6 hours.

• If your symptoms are more severe, you can take 2 capsules at the same time.

• Do not take more than 6 capsules in 24 hours.

Taking the medicine

Swallow the capsules whole with a large glass of water.
