Indications:
Canephron tablets are traditionally used as supportive therapy to specific medication administered in case of mild symptoms of inflammatory diseases of the lower urinary tract and for the prevention of kidney stones in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older.
This herbal medicinal product with traditional use is used for the specified indications, exclusively on the basis of long-term use.

Contraindications:
Do not use Canephron tablets
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to yarrow, lovage root, rosemary leaf, other plants of the Apiaceae (Umbelliferae) family (e.g. anise, fennel), anethole (component of anise essential oils, fennel) or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6);
- if you have a stomach or duodenal ulcer;
- if you have inflammatory kidney diseases;
- if you have kidney failure.
- The administration of large amounts of fluids is contraindicated in case of swelling of the lower limbs due to impaired kidney or heart function.

Precautions:
In case of persistent fever or if spasms, blood in the urine, urination disorders or acute urinary retention occur, consult a doctor urgently.
Children
This medicine should not be given to children under 12 years of age.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
As a precautionary measure, Canephron should not be used during pregnancy.
It is not known whether Canephron or its active substances/metabolites are excreted in human milk. Canephron should not be used during breast-feeding.

Driving and using machines:
No studies have been performed on the effects on the ability to drive or use machines.

Method of administration:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Unless otherwise prescribed, the recommended dose is:

Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over: 2 tablets 6 tablets
Use in children:
This medicine should not be given to children under 12 years of age.
Take the tablets in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening, without chewing, with sufficient liquid (e.g. a glass of water).
During treatment, it is necessary to drink a sufficient amount of liquid.
