Dermodrin 50g – Itching & Skin Irritation Relief

Indications:
Dermodrin ointment is indicated for the treatment of pruritus (itching), local pain, and hypersensitivity reactions (an excessive or abnormal immune defense reaction, i.e., an allergic reaction) in cases of:
- dermatological conditions with an allergic component;
- insect bites.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to diphenhydramine hydrochloride, to antihistamines with a related structure, or to any of the excipients.

Precautions:
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Dermodrin ointment.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
Dermodrin ointment is contraindicated during the first 3 months of pregnancy, as epidemiological data from a small number of pregnant women treated with diphenhydramine during the first trimester indicated an increased likelihood of a newborn malformation—specifically, cleft palate.
During the remainder of the pregnancy, due to insufficient data and the potential for systemic absorption of the drug, use should be avoided—particularly application over large areas of the body, and especially if the skin is infected or damaged.
Dermodrin ointment is contraindicated during breastfeeding, as the active substance (diphenhydramine) may pass into breast milk.

Driving and using machines:
No effects on the ability to drive or use machines are expected. Method of administration:
Unless otherwise recommended by a doctor, apply 1 to 3 g of Dermodrin ointment (an amount ranging from the size of a cherry to that of a walnut) to the affected area of the skin.

Adults should repeat this application 4 to 6 times daily.
Children: a maximum of 4–5 applications daily is recommended.
If the condition does not improve after 2 weeks of continuous treatment, you should consult a doctor.
