Nostamine Eye & Nasal Drops 10ml – Allergy & Congestion Relief

Indications:
Nostamine is used to relieve symptoms of nasal congestion due to the common cold, sinusitis, hay fever and other upper respiratory allergies and to treat eye allergies and minor eye irritation.
Nostamine also reduces burning, irritation, itching and inflammation of the eyes as well as excessive tearing.

Nostamine contains two medicines: naphazoline hydrochloride, which is a decongestant that works by narrowing the blood vessels in the nose, reducing swelling and congestion of the mucous membranes, and chlorphenamine maleate, which belongs to a group called antihistamines and is used to reduce allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching, watery eyes, itchy nose or throat and nasal discharge.

Contraindications:
Do not use Nostamine:
- if you are allergic to naphazoline hydrochloride/chlorpheniramine maleate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before using Nostamine.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this
medicine.
This medicine may affect the heart rate of the foetus.
If you are breast-feeding or planning to breast-feed, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking or using any medicine.

Driving and using machines:
Blurred vision may occur immediately after using this medicine.
If this happens, do not drive or use any tools or machines until you can see clearly.

How to use:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

This medicine can only work properly if it is used correctly.

Check that the seal on the bottle is not broken before using Nostamine for the first time. Wash your hands before using the drops. Do not touch the dropper tip to your eyes, nose or any other surface.
Eyes:
Adults and children over 12 years of age: the usual dose is 1 drop, 2-3 times a day.

Composition:
- the active substances are: naphazoline hydrochloride and chlorphenamine maleate. One ml of eye/nasal drops, solution contains naphazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg and chlorpheniramine maleate
- 0.5 mg.
- the other ingredients are: sodium citrate, boric acid, benzalkonium chloride, disodium edetate and purified water
