Wound & Skin Infection - Baneocin Powder 250 IU/5000 IU per Gram 10 g

Indications:
Baneocin cutaneous powder is an antibacterial medication applied to the skin. It works by destroying certain bacteria that cause skin conditions.

Baneocin cutaneous powder is used for:
- the treatment of certain skin infections and ulcers
- the treatment of superinfected eczema and burns
- the treatment of infected dermatitis in children over 2 years of age
- the prevention of infections following skin surgery.

Contraindications:
Do not use Baneocin cutaneous powder:
- if you are allergic to bacitracin, neomycin, other aminoglycoside antibiotics (such as neomycin, gentamicin, amikacin), or any of the other ingredients of this medication.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Baneocin cutaneous powder.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medication.
The use of Baneocin cutaneous powder is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Baneocin cutaneous powder crosses the placenta.
Application of Baneocin cutaneous powder to the breasts of breastfeeding women is contraindicated. Driving and using machines:
The effects of Baneocin cutaneous powder on the ability to drive or use machines are unknown.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults and children over 2 years of age:
- Dust a sufficient amount of powder onto the affected area 2 to 4 times daily.
- The affected area may be covered with a dressing.
- Avoid getting the powder into the eyes.
If you do not notice any signs of improvement within 5 days of treatment with Baneocin cutaneous powder, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Composition:
- The active substances are bacitracin zinc and neomycin sulfate. One gram of cutaneous powder contains 250 IU of bacitracin zinc and 5000 IU of neomycin sulfate.
