CardioVet 770 mg 90 Tablets – Heart & Cardiovascular Support for Dogs & Cats

Properties:
- recommended for treating dogs suffering from cardiomyopathy caused by either dilated cardiomyopathy or mitral regurgitation;
- contains L-carnitine, a quaternary amine composed of lysine and methionine; its primary function is to metabolize long-chain fatty acids and produce energy;
- taurine is crucial for maintaining healthy cardiac metabolism by regulating calcium ions and osmotic potentials and neutralizing free radicals; it also accounts for 40% of the free amino acids in the myocardium. Taurine possesses anti-arrhythmic properties, regulating heart rate based on calcium ion levels and ensuring the integrity of myocardial cells. Taurine deficiency directly contributes to the development of dilated cardiomyopathy in dogs;
- coenzyme Q10 is essential for the body's energy production process. It also acts as a natural antioxidant within the mitochondria, where it helps eliminate the high volume of free radicals generated by the significant energy demands of the heart's pumping action;
- vitamin E is a potent antioxidant that protects against excessive contraction of the heart's endothelial cells. It also reduces blood platelet aggregation and adhesion within the coronary arteries, thereby facilitating blood flow through the vessels and nourishing the heart.

Administration:
Dogs under 15 kg body weight: 1 tablet twice daily (total of 2 tablets/day). Dogs weighing over 15 kg: 2 tablets twice daily (4 tablets per day in total).
The tablets may be administered whole or crushed, either before or with food.
Fresh water must be available to the animal at all times.
The correct dosage and duration of administration depend on the animal's individual needs and should be determined by a veterinarian.
