Mastodynon – 60 Tablets, PMS & Menstrual Cycle Support

Indications:
Mastodynon is a homeopathic medicine.
Mastodynon is indicated for the treatment of women of childbearing age who have the following disorders:
- menstrual cycle disorders caused by temporary or permanent luteal phase insufficiency;
- premenstrual syndrome with disorders such as breast pain, mental instability, swelling of the lower limbs, constipation, headache, migraine (very severe headache);
- benign painful breast disorders (fibrocystic mastopathy).

Contraindications:
Do not use Mastodynon:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Vitex agnus castus, Caulophyllum thalictroides, Cyclamen purpurascens (or other primrose species), Strychnos ignatii, Iris versicolor, Lilium tigrinum or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Mastodynon, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
There are no indications for the use of this medicine in pregnant women.
Reproductive toxicity studies suggest that Vitex agnus castus in the composition of the medicine may affect lactation.
Mastodynon should not be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Driving and using machines:
No studies on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines have been performed.

How to take:
You should talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is one Mastodynon tablet twice a day (one tablet in the morning and one in the evening). The tablets should be swallowed with a sufficient amount of liquid (e.g. a glass of water).

Mastodynon should be taken for at least 3 months, including during menstruation. Generally, improvement of symptoms occurs after 6 weeks. You should consult your doctor if your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 6 - 8 weeks of treatment. If symptoms return after stopping Mastodynon, treatment can be continued after medical consultation. Long-term treatment may be necessary.

As there are no adequate data on the use of this medicine in children under 12 years of age, Mastodynon should not be given to this age group.
