Indications:
Nicorette Freshfruit is used to treat nicotine dependence by satisfying the intense craving for nicotine and alleviating withdrawal symptoms associated with quitting smoking:
- to treat nicotine dependence in smokers who wish to quit;
- to assist smokers in maintaining temporary abstinence during periods when smoking is impossible or undesirable;
- to help reduce cigarette consumption in smokers who are unable or unwilling to quit.

Contraindications:
Do not use Nicorette Freshfruit:
- if you are allergic to nicotine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine;
- if you are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- if you do not smoke.

Precautions:
Use in children and adolescents
This medicine is not recommended for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised to use Nicorette Freshfruit medicated chewing gum only after consulting a doctor.
Smoking can harm the fetus or infant and should be stopped completely.
Even at therapeutic doses, nicotine passes into breast milk in quantities sufficient to pose a risk of harm to the infant. Therefore, the use of Nicorette Freshfruit medicated chewing gum should be avoided during breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines:
Nicorette Freshfruit medicated chewing gum does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.

Method of administration:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Which strength of Nicorette Freshfruit medicated chewing gum should you use:
- Nicorette Freshfruit 2 mg medicated chewing gum if you smoke fewer than 20 cigarettes a day or smoke within 30 minutes of waking up;
- Nicorette Freshfruit 4 mg medicated chewing gum if you smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day or if you have not succeeded in quitting smoking using Nicorette Freshfruit 2 mg.
Do not exceed the maximum dose.
