Nolpaza Control 20mg 14 Gastro Resistant Tablets Pantoprazole

Indications:
Nolpaza Control contains the active substance pantoprazole, which blocks the ‘pump’ that produces acid in the stomach. In this way, it reduces the amount of acid in your stomach.

Nolpaza Control is used for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (e.g. heartburn, acid regurgitation) in adults.
Reflux is the return of acid from the stomach into the oesophagus, which becomes inflamed and painful. This causes symptoms such as a painful burning sensation in the chest that rises up into the throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).

Even though after just one day of treatment with Nolpaza Control you may notice an improvement in acid reflux and heartburn, this medicine is not recommended for immediate relief of symptoms, which may occur after 2–3 consecutive days of treatment.

If you do not feel better after 2 weeks or you feel worse, you should see a doctor.

Contraindications:
Do not take Nolpaza Control:
- if you are allergic to pantoprazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Nolpaza Control.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

You should not take this medicine if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Driving and using machines:
If you experience side effects such as dizziness or visual disturbances, you should not drive or use machines.

Nolpaza Control contains sorbitol (E420) and sodium:
This medicine contains sorbitol 18 mg per tablet.
This medicine contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per tablet, that is to say essentially "sodium-free".

How to take:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is one tablet per day. Do not exceed the recommended dose of 20 mg pantoprazole per day.

You should take this medicine for at least 2-3 consecutive days. When your symptoms disappear, stop taking Nolpaza Control. Although you may notice an improvement in your acid reflux and heartburn after just one day of treatment with Nolpaza Control, this medicine is not intended to provide immediate relief of symptoms.

If there is no improvement in your symptoms after 2 weeks of continuous treatment, contact your doctor.

Do not take Nolpaza Control tablets for more than 4 weeks without your doctor's advice.

Take the tablet before a meal, at the same time of day. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not chew or crush the tablet.

Composition:
- The active substance is pantoprazole. Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 20 mg pantoprazole (equivalent to 22.55 mg pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate).
- The other ingredients are: mannitol, crospovidone, sodium carbonate, sorbitol (E420) and calcium stearate in the core, and hypromellose, povidone, titanium dioxide (E171), yellow iron oxide (E172), propylene glycol, methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1) dispersion 30%, talc, macrogol 6000, in the film.
