Indications:
The active substance contained in Ibufen Rapid is ibuprofen, which is part of the group of drugs called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that act by reducing pain, fever and inflammation.
Ibufen Rapid is indicated for the relief of pain from various causes, such as headache, toothache, neuralgia, muscle and joint pain and dysmenorrhea. It is also indicated as an adjuvant in the symptomatic treatment of fever and flu.
In dental pain, pain relief occurs within 25-30 minutes.

Contraindications:
Do not take Ibufen Rapid:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ibuprofen or any of the other components of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before taking Ibufen Rapid, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

If you are pregnant, tell your doctor or pharmacist, as you should not take Ibufen Rapid.
Do not take Ibufen Rapid if you are pregnant in the last 3 months of pregnancy, as it may harm your fetus or cause birth problems. It can cause kidney and heart problems in the fetus. It can cause bleeding for both you and your baby and can delay the onset of labor or cause labor to be prolonged.
You should not take Ibufen Rapid during the first 6 months of pregnancy, unless absolutely necessary and only after talking to your doctor.
If you need treatment during this time or while you are trying to conceive, the lowest dose should be taken for the shortest time possible.
If you are more than 20 weeks pregnant and take Ibufen Rapid for more than a few days, it may cause kidney problems in the fetus which may lead to low levels of amniotic fluid (oligohydramnios) or narrowing of a blood vessel (ductus arteriosus) in the fetal heart. If you need treatment for more than a few days, your doctor may monitor you further.
Please tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Ibufen Rapid.

Small amounts of ibuprofen can be found in breast milk, but do not seem to have any influence on the baby.
It is not necessary to interrupt breastfeeding in the case of short-term treatment with Ibufen Rapid, in the usual recommended doses.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
If you feel dizzy and have a headache after taking Ibufen Rapid, do not drive or use machines until you feel well again.

Mode of administration:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
