Aspimax Cardio 40 Tablets – Antiplatelet Cardiovascular Treatment

Indications:
Aspimax Cardio works by preventing the formation of blood clots and is used for:
- preventing the recurrence of myocardial infarction and stroke (transient ischemic and cerebral infarction);
- reducing the risk of myocardial infarction in patients with angina pectoris or with multiple risk factors, such as: hypertension, increased blood lipids (hypercholesterolemia), smoking, diabetes and family history;
- maintaining blood circulation in the blood vessels of the heart after certain surgical interventions (vasculoplasty and coronary shunt).
Aspimax Cardio should not be used to treat fever or pain (regardless of their type) because it releases a small amount of acetylsalicylic acid.

Contraindications:
Do not use Aspimax Cardio:
- if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid, to other salicylates or to any of the other components of Aspimax Cardio.

Precautions:
Before using Aspimax Cardio, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
The task:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Do not use Aspimax Cardio if you are pregnant in the last trimester. In the first two trimesters of pregnancy, take Aspimax Cardio only if your doctor recommends it.

Breastfeeding:
Small amounts of acetylsalicylic acid and its active metabolites pass into breast milk. No negative effects on the child have been reported so far, therefore it is not necessary to interrupt breastfeeding, but the daily dose should not exceed 150 mg. If you take higher doses (more than 150 mg per day), you should stop breastfeeding.

Driving vehicles and using machines:
Aspimax Cardio does not influence your ability to drive vehicles and use machines.

Mode of administration:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Doses:
Adults:
Secondary prevention of myocardial infarction:
The recommended dose is one Aspimax Cardio 75 mg tablet once a day.

Prevention of cardiovascular morbidity in patients with stable angina pectoris:
The recommended dose is one Aspimax Cardio 75 mg tablet once a day.

Prevention of graft occlusion after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG):
The recommended dose is one Aspimax Cardio 75 mg tablet once a day.

Secondary prevention of transient ischemic attacks (TIA) and ischemic cerebrovascular accidents (ICA), after the diagnosis of intracerebral hemorrhage has been excluded:
The usual dose for long-term use is one Aspimax Cardio 75 mg tablet once a day. Higher doses should not be used unless advised by a doctor, and the prescribed dose should not exceed 300 mg per day.

Use in children and adolescents:
Not recommended for use in this age group.

Composition:
- The active substance is acetylsalicylic acid. Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 75 mg of acetylsalicylic acid.
- The other components are: core: microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate type A, magnesium stearate, povidone K 30, talc, colloidal silicon dioxide; film: methacrylic acid copolymer type C, talc, titanium dioxide (E 171), triethyl citrate (E 1505), colloidal anhydrous silicon dioxide, sodium hydrogen carbonate (E 500), sodium lauryl sulfate.
