Corneregel Eye Gel 10 g – Corneal Healing & Eye Protection

Indications:
Corneregel is an ophthalmic gel that is rapidly absorbed by the eye. The active substance is dexpanthenol.
Dexpanthenol is rapidly converted into pantothenic acid, a water-soluble vitamin that plays a role in numerous metabolic processes in the form of coenzyme A.
Pantothenic acid has a trophic effect and stimulates fibroblast proliferation as well as the regeneration of damaged skin and mucous membranes.
- treatment of non-inflammatory corneal disorders (keratopathies), such as corneal dystrophy (nutritional disorders), corneal degeneration (regression), recurrent corneal erosions (sloughing), and corneal injuries in contact lens wearers;
- as an adjuvant treatment for corneal and conjunctival injuries, as well as thermal and chemical burns;
- treatment of bacterial, viral, or fungal corneal infections, as an adjunct to the specific treatment for these corneal conditions.

Contraindications:
Do not use Corneregel:
- if you are allergic to dexpanthenol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. Corneregel should not be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women unless, after careful assessment, your doctor determines that the benefit of using Corneregel outweighs the potential risks.

Driving and using machines:
When used as directed, this medicine may cause temporary blurred vision; patients should exercise caution when driving or operating machinery.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is one drop of Corneregel eye gel applied into the conjunctival sac 4 times a day, as well as before bedtime, depending on the severity and intensity of the symptoms.

There is no limit to the duration of use. You should continue using Corneregel until you notice an improvement in your symptoms.
It is advisable to consult an ophthalmologist while using Corneregel, given that treatment with this medicine is typically long-term.

To avoid contaminating the dropper tip and the eye gel, do not touch the applicator tip with your fingers or let it come into contact with your eye when handling the tube. Replace the protective cap after each use.

Instructions for use:
Tilt your head back.
Pull down your lower eyelid with the index finger of one hand and hold the tube vertically above your eye with the other hand (without touching the eye). Apply a drop of the ophthalmic gel into the conjunctival sac.
Keep the eye open while rotating it to ensure the ophthalmic gel spreads evenly.
The protective cap allows the tube to stand upright. This facilitates the immediate and efficient administration of Corneregel.

Composition:
