Erdomed 225 mg Granules for Oral Suspension 10 sachets – Mucus Relief & Productive Cough Treatment

Indications:

Erdomed is a mucolytic that, after oral administration, reduces the viscosity of bronchial secretions and promotes their elimination, improvement and breathing.

Erdomed is used as secretolytic therapy (helps dissolve secretions) in acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases, which are accompanied by disorders of mucus production and transport and for the fluidification of viscous mucus in acute and chronic respiratory diseases.

The medicine is intended for adults.

If after 3-4 days you do not feel better or you feel worse, you should consult a doctor.

Contraindications:

Do not use Erdomed:

- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:

Before using Erdomed, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:

If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Animal studies have not shown any harmful effects of erdosteine on embryonic development. As no clinical data are available and it is not known whether erdosteine passes into breast milk, Erdomed is not recommended for use during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Driving and using machines:

There is no evidence of adverse effects on the ability to drive and use machines.

Erdomed contains sugar. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, please contact your doctor before taking this medicine.

This medicine contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per dose, i.e. essentially “sodium-free”.

This medicine contains benzyl alcohol 0.0013 mg per dose.

Benzyl alcohol may cause allergic reactions.

How to use:

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults: take the dissolved contents of one sachet 2 or 3 times a day. Dissolve the contents of one sachet in a glass of water, fruit juice or tea, mix well and take before meals. The oral suspension should be taken immediately.

Use in children and adolescents: other pharmaceutical forms appropriate for the age (e.g. Erdomed 175 mg/5 ml powder for oral solution) should be used.

In mild to moderate hepatic and renal insufficiency, the dose is reduced, the dissolved contents of one sachet are administered once or twice a day.

Duration of treatment:

The duration of treatment must be determined individually.

Composition:

- The active substance is erdosteine. One sachet of granules for oral suspension contains 225 mg of erdosteine.

- The other ingredients are: sucrose (sugar), sodium starch glycolate, silicon dioxide, sucralose, anhydrous malic acid, orange flavor (contains corn maltodextrin, flavoring preparation, flavoring substances, natural flavoring substances, alpha-tocopherol), alcohol (E307).
