Herbion Ivy 35 mg 24 tab – Cough Relief

Indications:
Herbion Ivy lozenges contain dry ivy leaf extract.
Herbion Ivy lozenges are a herbal medicinal product used as an expectorant for productive coughs in adults, adolescents, and children over 6 years of age.

Contraindications:
Do not take Herbion Ivy:
- if you are allergic to ivy leaf extract, to other plants of the Araliaceae family
(ivy), or to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Herbion Ivy.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Herbion Ivy is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding because there is insufficient data regarding the use of ivy leaf extract in pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Driving and using machines:
No studies have been conducted on the effects on the ability to drive or use machines.

Method of administration:
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The usual dose for adults, the elderly, and adolescents over 12 years of age is 1 lozenge three times daily.

Use in children:
The usual dose for children aged 6 to 11 years is 1 lozenge twice daily. Dissolve the lozenges in your mouth. Do not take the lozenges immediately before or during meals.

Drink plenty of water or other warm, caffeine-free beverages while taking Herbion Ivy.

If symptoms persist for more than a week while using this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Composition:
- The active substance is dry ivy leaf extract. Each lozenge contains 35 mg of dry ivy leaf extract (*Hedera helix* L., *folium*) (5–7.5:1).
Extraction solvent: 30% (w/w) ethanol.
- The other ingredients are isomalt (E953), citric acid (E330), natural caramel flavour (propylene glycol (E1520)), natural citrus flavour (butylhydroxyanisole (E320)), sucralose (E955), and peppermint oil. See section 2 "Herbion Ivy contains isomalt (E953) and butylhydroxyanisole (E320)".
- Excipient used in the extract: simethicone.
