Nurofen duo max 24 tab - anti-inflammatory

Indications:
This medicine contains two active substances (which determine the action of this medicine).
These are ibuprofen and paracetamol.

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called “non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs” (NSAIDs). These medicines work by reducing pain, inflammation and fever.
Paracetamol is a painkiller that works in a different way to ibuprofen, to reduce pain and fever. This medicine is used for the short-term treatment of mild to moderate pain associated with migraine, headache, backache, menstrual pain, toothache, rheumatic and muscular pain, pain caused by low-grade arthritis, cold and flu symptoms, sore throat and fever.

Contraindications:
Do not take Nurofen Duo Max if:
- you are allergic to ibuprofen, paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAID painkillers.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Nurofen Duo Max.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
Do not take this medicine in the last 3 months of pregnancy. It may cause heart and kidney problems in the baby. It may affect your and your baby's tendency to bleed and may cause labour to start later or last longer than expected. Avoid using this medicine in the first 6 months of pregnancy unless your doctor tells you otherwise. If taken for more than a few days, from the 20th week of pregnancy, ibuprofen may cause kidney problems in your baby, which may lead to low levels of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby (oligohydroamnios) or narrowing of a blood vessel (ductus arteriosus) in the baby's heart. If you need treatment for more than a few days, your doctor may recommend extra monitoring.

Breastfeeding:
Only small amounts of ibuprofen and its metabolites are excreted in breast milk. It can be used during breast-feeding, if used at the recommended dose and for the shortest possible period of time.

Fertility:
This medicine belongs to a group of medicines that may impair fertility in women. This effect is reversible when the medicine is stopped. Tell your doctor if you are planning to become pregnant or if you have problems trying to become pregnant.

Driving and using machines:
This medicine may cause dizziness, impaired concentration and drowsiness.
If you experience any of the symptoms mentioned above, do not drive or use machines.

How to take:
Always take this medicine exactly as directed in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
You should not use this medicine for more than 3 days.
For oral use and for short-term use only (no more than 3 days).

To reduce the chance of side effects, take this medicine with food.

You should not take this medicine for more than 3 days. If symptoms worsen or persist, or if the medication is needed for more than 3 days, consult your doctor.

The recommended dose is:
Adults: Take 1 tablet with water and food, up to 3 times a day. Leave at least 6 hours between doses.
If one tablet does not control symptoms, a maximum of 2 tablets can be taken up to 3 times a day.
Do not take more than six tablets in a 24-hour period (equivalent to 1200 mg ibuprofen and 3000 mg paracetamol per day).

Use in children and adolescents:
Do not use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

Composition:
- The active substances are ibuprofen and paracetamol. Each film-coated tablet contains 200 mg ibuprofen and 500 mg paracetamol.
- The other ingredients are: croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, stearic acid. Film-coating: polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide, talc, macrogol/PEG 4000, potassium aluminium silicate (E555), polysorbate.
