Otirelax Ear Drops 15 ml – Ear Pain & Inflammation Relief

Indications:
Otirelax drops are used as an adjunct in the treatment of ear pain (otalgia) caused by otitis media in patients with an intact eardrum.
It contains phenazone and lidocaine monohydrate. Phenazone is a substance used to reduce inflammation and pain. Lidocaine monohydrate is a substance used for local anesthesia.
Otirelax helps soothe ear pain and inflammation in patients whose eardrum is not ruptured.

Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to phenazone, to pyrazole derivatives (metamizole, isopropylaminophenazone, propylphenazone), to lidocaine hydrochloride, or to any of the excipients.

Precautions:
Before using Otirelax, consult your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
In the absence of an eardrum rupture, systemic absorption is unlikely. Therefore, provided that the suspicion of a perforated eardrum has been ruled out, this medicine may be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Driving and using machines:
Otirelax has no influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Method of administration:
The recommended dose is 4 drops of Otirelax, 2 to 3 times daily; these are applied into the external auditory canal.

The duration of treatment should not exceed 10 days.
If symptoms do not improve after 2 to 3 days of treatment, the therapeutic approach must be re-evaluated. To avoid the unpleasant sensation caused by introducing the cold solution into the ear canal, it is recommended to warm the bottle to body temperature before administering the drops.

If Otirelax is used alongside other ear drops, an interval of at least 30 minutes must be observed between administrations.

Composition:
Each milliliter of ear drops (solution) contains 45.5 mg of phenazone and 11.4 mg of lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate.
