Tusocalm 20 Tablets – Cough Relief & Bronchial Secretion Support

Indications:
Tusocalm contains two active substances: codeine phosphate hemihydrate which is an antitussive and potassium guaiacolsulfonate which is an expectorant.
It is recommended in:
- pulmonary diseases with viscous, adherent bronchial secretion that cannot be easily eliminated.
- symptomatic treatment of dry and wet cough, pulmonary and extrapulmonary.

Contraindications:
Do not take Tusocalm:
- if you are allergic to codeine, potassium guaiacolsulfonate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. 

Precautions:
Before taking Tusocalm, consult your doctor or pharmacist. 

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Pregnancy:
Caution is recommended when administering Tusocalm to pregnant women, especially in the first months of pregnancy.

Breastfeeding:
Do not take Tusocalm while breastfeeding. Codeine and morphine pass into breast milk.

Driving and using machines:
Due to sedation and decreased reflex reactivity, codeine may affect the ability to drive or use machines.

How to use:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults:
Tusocalm is administered orally, 1 tablet 3-4 times a day.

Children and adolescents:
Children under 12 years of age:
Tusocalm is contraindicated in children under 12 years of age.

Children aged 12 to 18 years:
Tusocalm should not be used in children aged 12 to 18 years with compromised respiratory function.

Composition:
- The active substances are: codeine phosphate hemihydrate and potassium guaiacolsulfonate. Each tablet contains codeine phosphate hemihydrate 7.5 mg and potassium guaiacolsulfonate 120 mg.
- The other ingredients are: corn starch, povidone K 30, talc, magnesium stearate.
