2x Prospan 65 mg – 10 Effervescent Tablets | Expectorant for Cough & Chest Congestion

Indications:
Prospan effervescent cough tablets belong to the group: expectorants without combinations with antitussives, expectorants, plants
It is used for the symptomatic treatment of long-term (chronic) inflammatory diseases of the bronchi and for acute inflammation of the respiratory tract accompanied by cough.

Contraindications:
Do not use Prospan effervescent tablets:
- if you are allergic to dry ivy leaf extract or any of the other ingredients of this medicine; in children under 6 years of age.

Precautions:
Before using Prospan effervescent tablets, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
For safety reasons, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, medications should only be taken on doctor's advice.

Driving and using machines:
The medication does not negatively affect the ability to drive or use machines.

How to take:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The usual dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is one effervescent tablet 2 times a day (corresponding to 130 mg of dry ivy leaf extract daily).

Use in children and adolescents: the usual dose for children aged 6 to 12 years is ½ effervescent tablet 3 times a day (corresponding to 97.5 mg of dry ivy leaf extract daily).
The tablet is administered after dissolving in a glass of water (approximately 200 ml).

Both cold (room temperature) and warm liquids can be used to dissolve the tablets.

The effervescent tablets can be divided into equal doses.

Composition:
- The active substance is 30% (m/m) ethanolic extract of dry ivy leaves (5-7.5:1) 65 mg.
- The other ingredients are: anhydrous citric acid, sodium hydrogen carbonate, anhydrous sodium carbonate, mannitol, simethicone, sodium saccharin, sodium cyclamate, sodium citrate, sorbitol, medium chain triglycerides, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, orange flavour.
