Exoterfyn 3.3 ml – Fungal Nail Infection Treatment

Indications:
Exoterfyn 78.22 mg/ml medicated nail lacquer contains the active substance terbinafine, which belongs to a group of medicines known as antifungals. It works by destroying a wide variety of fungi that cause nail infections.

Exoterfyn 78.22 mg/ml medicated nail lacquer is used in adults to treat mild to moderate fungal nail infections.

Contraindications:
Do not use Exoterfyn 78.22 mg/ml medicated nail lacquer:
- if you are allergic to terbinafine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Exoterfyn 78.22 mg/ml medicated nail lacquer.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility:
If you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. Exoterfyn 78.22 mg/ml medicated nail lacquer should not be used during pregnancy unless clearly necessary.

This medicine may pass into breast milk. If you are breastfeeding, ask your doctor for advice before using this medicine.
Do not allow infants to come into contact with treated areas. Ensure that infants do not touch treated nails with their mouths.

Driving and using machines:
Exoterfyn 78.22 mg/ml medicated nail lacquer does not affect the ability to drive or use machines. Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

For application to fingernails or toenails.
Instructions for use
Step 1: Before applying Exoterfyn 78.22 mg/ml medicated nail lacquer, remove any nail polish or other cosmetic products from the nails and the surrounding skin.
Step 2: Clean and dry the affected areas thoroughly.
Step 3: Unscrew the bottle cap.
Step 4: Dip the applicator into the nail lacquer.
Step 5: Using the applicator, apply a thin layer of Exoterfyn 78.22 mg medicated nail lacquer over the entire surface of the affected nail, 5 mm of the surrounding skin, and—if possible—under the free edge of the nail and onto the skin beneath the nail.
Step 6: Wait approximately 30 seconds for the lacquer to dry completely before resuming other activities.
Step 7: Close the bottle tightly.

Treated nails should not be washed or wetted for at least 6 hours. Therefore, application in the evening before going to bed, after a shower or bath, is recommended. Normal hygiene routines may be followed after this time.

Exoterfyn 78.22 mg medicated nail lacquer does not require a special remover. It can be easily removed by washing the nails with water. Filing the nail is not necessary. Duration of treatment
During the first 4 weeks, apply Exoterfyn 78.22 mg medicated nail lacquer to the affected nails once daily. After this period, apply Exoterfyn 78.22 mg medicated nail lacquer once weekly.

Treatment should be continued until each treated nail becomes clear or its appearance is significantly improved. In some cases, additional oral therapy may be required.

Generally, the duration of treatment is 6 months for fingernails and approximately 9–12 months for toenails.

Composition:
- The active substance is terbinafine. One millilitre of medicated nail lacquer contains terbinafine hydrochloride equivalent to 78.22 mg of terbinafine.
- The other ingredients are ethanol (96%), hydroxypropylchitosan, and purified water.
