Indications:
Gaviscon strawberry flavour chewable tablets belong to a group of medicines called 'reflux suppressants', which form a protective layer over the contents of the stomach, preventing stomach acid from leaving the stomach and entering the oesophagus, causing the burning sensation and discomfort.

Gaviscon strawberry flavour chewable tablets are used to treat the symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion (related to reflux) which may occur, for example, after meals or during pregnancy and in patients with symptoms associated with oesophagitis.

Contraindications:
Do not take Gaviscon:
- if you are allergic to any of the ingredients, as very rarely breathing difficulties and skin rashes have occurred.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Gaviscon.

Pregnancy, lactation and fertility:
You can take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Method of administration:
For oral administration. Chew well before swallowing.

Adults, including the elderly and children over 12 years: when symptoms occur, take two to four tablets after meals and at bedtime.

Children under 12 years: should only be taken on the advice of a doctor.

If you have forgotten to take a dose, it is not necessary to take a double dose the next time, but continue to take the usual dose at the right time.

Composition:
Each chewable tablet contains 250 mg sodium alginate, 133.5 mg sodium hydrogen carbonate and 80 mg calcium carbonate as active substances. The other ingredients are mannitol (E421), macrogol 20000, aspartame (E951), strawberry flavor (maltodextrin, modified starch E1450, vegetable oil, propylene glycol E1520), red iron oxide, xylitol, carmellose sodium, magnesium stearate.
These tablets do not contain sugar or gluten.
