Indications:
Acetylcysteine Zentiva contains the active substance acetylcysteine, which belongs to a class of medicines called mucolytics, used to facilitate the removal of mucus from the respiratory tract.
Acetylcysteine Zentiva is indicated to thin mucus and facilitate its removal by coughing in case of cold-induced bronchitis, in adults and adolescents over 14 years of age.

Contraindications:
Do not take Acetylcysteine Zentiva:
- if you are allergic to acetylcysteine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before taking Acetylcysteine Zentiva, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Since there is insufficient experience regarding the use of acetylcysteine during pregnancy or breast-feeding, Acetylcysteine Zentiva should only be used during pregnancy and breast-feeding if your doctor considers it absolutely necessary.

Driving and using machines:
Acetylcysteine Zentiva has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or nurse if you are not sure.

Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age:
The recommended dose is 1 tablet (600 mg) per day, preferably in the evening. Your doctor may advise you to change the frequency of administration and the dose, but without exceeding the maximum daily dose of 600 mg.

You should not use Acetylcysteine Zentiva for more than 5 days.

Instructions for use Acetylcysteine Zentiva
Dissolve the tablet in a glass of water.
After preparation, drink the resulting solution within a few minutes.
It is recommended not to mix other medicines with Acetylcysteine Zentiva.
