Alerityn 10 Tablets – Allergy & Hay Fever Relief

Indications:
Alerityn belongs to a class of medicines known as antihistamines.
Antihistamines help reduce allergy symptoms by blocking the effects of a substance called histamine, which is produced in the body.
Alerityn relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (e.g., hay fever), such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and burning or itchy eyes.
Alerityn can also be used to reduce symptoms of hives (itching, redness, and the number and size of skin rashes).
Relief from these symptoms lasts throughout the day, helping you resume your normal daily activities and sleep.

Contraindications:
Do not use Alerityn:
- if you are allergic to loratadine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Alerityn.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you might be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Taking Alerityn is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Loratadine is excreted in breast milk.

Driving and using machines:
At the recommended dose, Alerityn is unlikely to cause drowsiness or slow down your reaction time. However, very rarely, some people may experience drowsiness, which could affect their ability to drive or operate machinery.

How to take:
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The tablets should be taken with a glass of water, with or without food.

Adults and children over 12 years of age: take 1 Alerityn tablet once daily.

Children aged 2–12 years: dosage is based on body weight:
- body weight over 30 kg: 1 Alerityn tablet once daily.
- body weight less than 30 kg: Alerityn 10 mg tablets are not recommended.

The tablet form is not recommended for children aged 2 to 6 years due to the risk of choking. Suitable formulations are available for this age group.

Children under 2 years of age:
Loratadine, the active substance in this medicine, is not recommended for children under 2 years of age.

Patients with severe liver disease:
Adults and children weighing more than 30 kg:
Take one tablet every other day (once every two days) with a glass of water, with or without food. However, you should speak to your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse before taking this medicine.
Elderly patients or those with impaired kidney function do not require a dose reduction. If you have any further questions about this medicine, ask your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.

Composition:
- The active substance is loratadine. One tablet contains 10 mg of loratadine.
- The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate, maize starch, povidone K 30, talc, magnesium stearate.

10 tablets
