Alka-Seltzer 10 tab - for pain

Indications:
Alka-Seltzer is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of headache, dental, pharyngeal, menstrual, muscle and joint pain, back pain, rheumatic and minor arthritic pain. It is also indicated for the symptomatic treatment of pain and fever in the common cold and influenza. It is indicated in the symptomatic treatment of headaches accompanied by gastric disorders.

Contraindications:
Do not take Alka-Seltzer if:
- you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Alka-Seltzer, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or intend to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Pregnancy:
You should tell your doctor if you become pregnant during a period of treatment with Alka-Seltzer. Alka-Seltzer should not be used in the first and second trimester of pregnancy without consulting your doctor. Alka-Seltzer should not be used in the last three months of pregnancy, due to an increased risk of complications for the mother and fetus during childbirth.
Breastfeeding:
Small amounts of acetylsalicylic acid and its metabolites pass into breast milk. Since no harmful effects on infants have been reported, it is generally not necessary to stop breastfeeding when using the drug for a short period of time at the recommended doses for pain or fever. However, if long-term use and/or high doses (more than 8 effervescent tablets per day) have been prescribed in isolated cases, the patient should discontinue breastfeeding

Driving and using machines:
Alka-Seltzer does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
Alka-Seltzer contains 477 mg sodium per effervescent tablet, which should be taken into account by patients on a salt-free diet.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Adults: Single dose: 2 effervescent tablets.
Daily dose: up to 8 effervescent tablets.
The single dose can be taken every 4-8 hours if necessary, up to a maximum of 4 doses per day. In patients with impaired hepatic and renal function, doses should be reduced or the dosing interval should be increased.

For patients on a low-sodium diet: 1 effervescent tablet contains 445 mg sodium.

Composition:
One effervescent tablet contains 324 mg acetylsalicylic acid and excipients: citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, povidone 25, dimethicone, calcium silicate, sodium docusate, sodium benzoate, sodium saccharin, flavors. Contains 445 mg sodium.
