Clotrimazol 12 vaginal tab

Indications:
Clotrimazole Zentiva contains the active substance clotrimazole. It is a medicine that belongs to the class of medicines called imidazole derivatives.
It is used to treat fungal infections of the vagina, such as Candida or other species, or to treat non-specific vaginitis.

Contraindications:
Do not use Clotrimazole Zentiva:
- if you are allergic to clotrimazole or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Clotrimazole Zentiva.

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. Follow their instructions carefully.
Clotrimazole should be used with caution in pregnant women, especially in the first trimester of pregnancy, and only under the supervision of your doctor.
Clotrimazole Zentiva administered vaginally does not pass into breast milk and can therefore be administered during breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines:
Clotrimazole Zentiva has no or negligible influence on the ability to drive or use machines.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is one vaginal tablet of Clotrimazole Zentiva per day, administered at bedtime, for 6-12 days.

2 vaginal tablets of Clotrimazole Zentiva per day (morning and evening) can be administered in short courses for 3 days.

In severe cases, 2 vaginal tablets of Clotrimazole Zentiva per day (morning and evening) can be administered for 6-12 days.

Composition:
- The active substance is clotrimazole. One vaginal tablet contains 100 mg of clotrimazole.
- The other ingredients are: lactose monohydrate 200 mesh, maize starch, stearic acid, colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium hydrogen carbonate, tartaric acid, magnesium stearate.
