Sapromed Cutaneous Powder 12 g – Skin Infection Treatment

Indications:
Sapromed is indicated for:
Pediatrics:
Neonatal pemphigus and other forms of pyoderma in children.
Surgery:
- Infected wounds, pressure ulcers, incised abscesses, carbuncles, whitlow (panaritium), etc.
Dermatology:
- Prophylaxis and treatment of interdigital fungal infections of the feet (in combination with other pharmaceutical forms).
If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days, you must consult a doctor.

Contraindications:
Do not use Sapromed:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to chlorquinaldol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before using Sapromed, talk to your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Sapromed can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as it is not absorbed after application to the skin.

Driving and using machines:
Sapromed does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage:
For adults and children, the recommended dose is 2–4 applications of Sapromed per day. Sapromed is applied by dusting onto the affected skin area; it may be used alone or in combination with an ointment containing chlorquinaldol, particularly in infants.

Duration of treatment:
Sapromed is administered for a maximum period of 7 days.

Composition:
- The active substance is chlorquinaldol. One gram of cutaneous powder contains 30 mg of chlorquinaldol.
- The other ingredients are: maize starch, talc.
