Tyrosur Antib Gel 5 g – Skin Infection Treatment

Indications:
Tyrosur gel is used for the treatment of small, superficial, slightly weeping wounds that are superinfected with bacteria sensitive to tyrothricin. If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 7 days, you must consult a doctor.

Contraindications:
Do not use Tyrosur gel:
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to tyrothricin or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
It is not suitable for application to the nasal mucosa.

Precautions:
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Tyrosur gel, as application near the eyes may cause a burning sensation.
Tyrosur gel with other medicines:
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used, or might use any other medicines.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility:
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
Pregnancy:
There is no data regarding the use of Tyrosur gel in pregnant women.
The potential risk to humans is unknown. Therefore, it is recommended that Tyrosur gel not be used during pregnancy.
Breastfeeding:
It is not known whether cetylpyridinium chloride or tyrothricin is excreted in breast milk. Therefore, it is recommended that Tyrosur gel not be used during breastfeeding. Driving and using machines
The medicine does not negatively affect the ability to drive or use machines.

Method of administration:
Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Apply an adequate amount of Tyrosur gel 2–3 times daily so that the gel covers the affected areas of the skin. For minor wounds or skin inflammation on uncovered areas of the body, no dressing is required. For larger or weeping wounds, the application of a protective dressing is recommended; this should be changed after 1–2 days, as advised by the doctor.
The duration of treatment depends on the clinical symptoms. If no improvement is observed after one week of treatment, the treatment should be re-evaluated. If it is possible to identify the pathogens, performing the necessary tests is recommended.

Composition:
The active substance is tyrothricin. 1 g of gel contains 1 mg of tyrothricin.
The other ingredients are: ethanol 96%, cetylpyridinium chloride, propylene glycol, carbomer (Synthalen K), trometamol, purified water.
